Early this past Saturday Christopher Randolph Senior, of Kansas City, was struck by a pickup truck and killed on Interstate 35. The wreck occurred north of College Boulevard at 2:30 a.m. Christopher was pulled over on the side of the highway putting gas in his vehicle when he was struck. Police shut down the highway for almost six hours as they investigated.
The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene of the accident that killed Christopher Randolph, and injured his passenger, a 39-year-old women. Sunday night police arrested 26-year-old Brock Tyler James in connection with the accident. On Monday Johnson County prosecutors charged Brock with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
Christopher Randolph Senior left behind six children.
