Highway accident results in wrongful death | Curtis James Harlan Kansas

Highway worker, Curtis James Harlan was hit and killed in a construction zone off I-470 in Topeka this past weekend while he was working on a highway construction project. A sedan driven by a 41 year old Topeka man struck the 22 year old Harlan who was employed with R.A. Knapp Construction based out of Kansas City, Kansas. In any fatal accident the State Highway Patrol is required to do an investigation to determine the cause of the wreck. What was the 41 year old driver doing at the time of the accident? Was he on the phone? Texting? Otherwise distracted? What was his speed at the time? What signs and other warning devices were present warning drivers of the construction zone? These are all questions that should be answered.
